Improving Access to Clean Water in Rural Communities
The Construction of Boreholes with Hand Pumps Project – (ITB/CARESPHUS/2025/0001) aims to improve access to safe and clean drinking water for communities across Falaba, Karene, Bombali, Port Loko, Tonkolili, Bo, and Kambia Districts. The project focuses on developing reliable water sources through the construction and installation of boreholes equipped with durable hand pumps.
This initiative is expected to enhance public health, improve sanitation and hygiene, and reduce the challenges communities face in accessing clean water. By strengthening rural water infrastructure, the project contributes to sustainable community development and improved living conditions across Sierra Leone.
